Career Planning Program
The 7 - Day Career Planning Program (CPP)

In dynamic group and one-to-one sessions:
  • Utilize up-to-date technology to identify and build on your aptitudes, values, interests, and transferable skills.
  • Discover your psychological type, and learn about labour market trends, the power of networking and information interviews.
  • Discuss transition management techniques that help you connect with your next position.
  • Develop an individualized career research plan.
During the program you will gain tools to be able to do career planning and make informed decisions. New possibilities present them themselves through using software programs, self-inventory, labour market research, and participating in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) exercises and group brainstorming. In addition you will meet in one-to-one sessions with a facilitator to discuss the focus and steps you have outlined on your Career Research Plan.

A client from a recent 2011 CPP group noted: "A long exhausting 7 days but well worth it. Wonderful people and great Facilitators. Huge amount of resources." Another stated, "All of you are so well trained in career planning. It makes such a difference working with such a qualified team. Thank you."

Eligibility

The program is for individuals who are unemployed, entitled to work in Canada, over age 19, and who have a grade 10 level of spoken and written English.
